Process - Full-Absorption Cooking Method

  Full-Absorption

Small Pasta

Blentech's continuous HydraTherm system produces cooked rice and small pasta with the exact percentage of water  absorption as required by application. All kernels have equal moisture content and consistency unlike most other "full-absorption" methods used today.  The Blentech method utilizes part solid flight, part ribbon to gently convey the rice or small pasta from one end of the cooker to the other while at the same time exposing the rice kernels or small pasta to an even amount of moisture.

Most continuous Asian rice systems cook the rice in small rectangular pots filled with a ratio of rice to water and then convey the pots through an oven in an assembly-line fashion.  These systems are very complex and expensive with robotic arms, electric eyes and sensors.  These mechanized continuous batch systems, like other cooking systems, cannot produce evenly cooked rice or rice that requires a
specific percentage of water hydration.
